Old ThinkPad meta
What about a ThinkPad?
if you are picking a Lenovo Ideapad, choose the right option.Because my dad bought me a Lenovo ideapad 3 15iGL05 and boy is it slow. I am still in shock on how can a model like this exist with HDD and 4 Gigs of Ram.But after 4 years, still no major problems.
Used Thinkpad if you want something good, cheap, and reliable
I use lenovo ideapad for gaming its fantastic
Eh my school provides em
Lenovo ideapad are the worst’s laptop ever made, they’re poor quality and the hinges breaks easily (I say that because I have one for school)
I have a HP Elitebook 840 G5 with windows 11 Pro. is that good for high school?
welcome to 2025 my friend
i recommend dell xps 13 plus for a student laptop a little cheap and powerful
Since i broke my leg a month ago, ive been homeschooled. I can’t weight my leg for 6 months, so i cant go to school. I have a Dell Latitude 5490 with 500GB of SSD storage, that i bought with my own money, for my 11th birthday. It’s honestly so good, it’s used but has never lagged once. I love it so much. I also have a printer in my house that i have connected to my laptop. It’s a Ricoh SP 211 DDST. Its honestly so good. I borrowed the printer from my dad because he doesn’t use it anymore, since he bought a Canon printer for himself. I love the printer and my laptop so much. Glad to have them both. ❤😊
Used thinkpad
Only correct option
I have had a 2021 Mac book pro 16in 8tb storage and 84 gb of RAM and I love it

Beneath the screens, so cold and bright,
Lies a shadow cast by endless light.
The hum of gadgets, the siren’s song,
Whispers that we must belong.
Yet hours fade, and days are lost,
The quiet world’s the hidden cost.
The breeze untapped, the stars unseen,
Replaced by pixels’ fleeting sheen.
The laughter shared, the touch of hand,
The trails unwalked, the open land—
All traded for a scrolling stream,
A fleeting life, a fractured dream.
Beware, beware the siren’s call,
Its tethered web, its creeping thrall.
For in its grasp, we may forget
The beauty that is with us yet.
Step back, reclaim the timeless air,
Let whispers of the wild repair.
Unplug, uncoil, and look anew,
The world is wide, and waits for you.
meant to say “RAM and storage” not “RAM and memory” 🤦♂️
"I needed 13 inches at minimum" is wild
THINK PADS + LINUX FTW
Gohar is the Microsoft Surface compatible with most college engineering software? Because I have heard that ARM based processors don’t do well with engineering applications.
13 inches pause
My rules to choose a laptop:
1. No chromebook. It sucks.
2. No celeron/athlon cpu. I3/R3 at least
3. 8+ gb ram, ssd 512 at minimum (no emmc)
4. Gaming laptops has small battery time(if you play on lectures) and bulky (if you bought bulky), do i prefer gaming laptop.
What about older Thinkpad P series models?
Can anyone tell me what laptop it was that was sleek but too small?
Gohar : I want 13 inches at minimum
Me : Dying of laughter 🤣🤣
MacBook the best, APPLE the best
I want 13 inches ON minimal 💀
13" MacBook Air M3 is the absolute META. Good screen, specs and features and is focused for work (but can also run some games) and also they have great batteries.
Hey can it be about tablets please
Guys help me decide .. Do I buy Lenovo legion 5i pro or wait and buy a MacBook Air m4 . I’m a cse student and may choose specialization for my masters
Pls send me one gaming laptop
for school, id recommend the lenovo ideapad slim 3, in my opinion the best model is 15AMN8. it has a ryzen 5 7520U that is designed for battery life rather gaming, a gpu but gpus arent important. but if your an absolute nerd it can go up to 2gb of video random access memory. for storage, it has a nvme pcie gen 3.0 x2 ssd, which i think is ok and has 512gb capacity. the memory is 16gb, ideal for doing work and multitasking such as downloading stuff while doing work. can have a whole 10 hours of battery life on balanced mode. best performance – 6 hours, best battery life – 14 hours or so. features a 60hz 15”6 inch screen with 1080p, ideal for work. a good keyboard, touchpad, 3 usb ports, 1 hdmi port and has a integrated camera that can be “physically” shut down by moving the part at the top. also has a built in microphone. only the wifi, ssd can be upgraded, not even ram. but 16gb is really good, isnt it?
Old thinkpads.
I had a laptop but my downloads now all say sussy schoolgrounds (1)
RTX 4090 SUPER
64 GB DDR5 RAM
AMD 9800 XD
2 TB NVMEs GEN 5
AIO COOLING
bro the Lenovo IDEAPAD can’t be this much 😭😭
as an it guy dont buy any of these get a used thinkpad
gohars i dont go to college in fact im still in school and in my country colege isnt a thing insted its university but gaming laptops have large screens up to 16inch and some of the good budget ones have 500gb of storage 16 gb of ddr4 ram then if you do some configerations in the inbuilt config software you can make it last up to 15 hours of work time and they charge to 40% in like 40mins so gaming laptops are a good choice if you know what to do with it
Id suggest getting windows 10 cus its cheaper and almost the same like windows 11
Just buy a Thinkpad
Get a used ThinkPad
MacBook Air attendance here
Gaming Laptops: CAD/CGI/U get it
Anything else: Anything else
Asus zephyrus g16 is what i got best of both worlds good battery for school and when i have a break or holiday its got the power to play any game with high settings and still push atleast 80fps
I have an idea pad, it’s a good laptop, however it’s not very durable and the battery definitely degrades a lot over time. But other than that for a school computer it is good.
Ill never buy another windows i had the surface an replaced it twice same issue, just crashed.
MacBook Air 💀
If you don’t have a budget, and you want a laptop good for engineering/computer studies but also a good general laptop get the Lenovo yoga pro 9. Expensive but has good battery life, very powerful with ai capabilities, can play AAA games and is lightweight.
eMMC is a red flag too
‘Wanted 13 inches at minimum’ ‘THATS WHAT SHE SAID’
