  3. What I have liked about my Google devices is how well they work together, as you mention. I’ve been in the category of using all 3 major brands and lots of others that work or don’t work. So, I think there is great value in planning and doing everything through one, like Google.i am hopeful that moving forward more and more products by different manufacturers will work for average people like me.

I use Alexa and have been using it for years. I’m seeing many new "features". I put the word "features" in quotes because, to me, they are not features. To me they are very disturbing. Especially with the music playback system. I purchase music from Amazon and listen to it through the echo devices. It used to be great, but now they decided to add other music to my playlists that I did not buy, or am interested in. This is probably how they generate additional money, but I want to listen to the music I paid for and not what other artist have paid to make me listen to. Now I am willing to switch systems to Google. So I appreciate your reviews. The cost of getting new devices is not something I really want to do, but I think it is time because of what I just talked about. Maybe you could do a review just on the music section of the systems you have. I would hate to switch everything over to Google only to find out that they do the same thing.

I would defently reccomend upgrading that exterior camera i work for a security company and we call that a 722 camera and it it very old and outdated. I’d upgrade to the 724 camera.

  8. I liked your video but Google nest cams are slow and dont protect my home. Tired of wasting money on Google products and working with other and better systems and they are not apple or amazon! Better off using a multitude of companies that play well with each other which Google does not!

I have Nest Wifi, Nest outdoor cams, Nest Doorbell, Nest Protects. It’s all been pretty good but I want away from Google now to be honest. The fact that I’m still having to say "hey google" is ridiculous too when we’re this far down the road with smart home assistants. If google added the feature to change to a more naturally sounding command then I’d seriously consider staying but we all know they absolutely will not add that feature.

  17. @TechnologyPaul the only negative that I have against the Google doorbell and Google home is that when someone rings your doorbell, the notification sound on an iPhone can’t be customized. You’re just going to get the default notification sound that Apple gives you. I wish Google would come out with an option to customize the sound like Ring does.

  18. I’m a Google Home fan. However, after using both Amazon and Google home devices, I noticed that Alexa is a lot faster at getting things done. Google has at least a 5 second delay in responding to commands vs 2 seconds from Alexa. In addition, I like the Echo Drop in feature. Huge help when I need to check in on my kids.

I want to switch from Blink to Google. Blink is really hard to renew the subscription plan. Sure the cameras might be a little cheaper but you can’t use more than half the functionality of the cameras cuz they don’t make it clear how to get a subscription plan. I dealt with Blink for about 2 years now and I’m half way out the door

  21. Cool video yet didn’t answer the questions I needed for Google Nest hard wired light switches. And Thank you for saying Hey ‘G’ lol I’m looking to replace my light switches that will allow me to have it remotely control other devices (lights) AND not have it dem lights. You get the idea for future videos.

I have an Apple smart home. I don’t see any advantage that Google has over Apple Home in the smart home arena.
