Cheap iPhone charging cables are missing something very important 🔋Link in cmnts #amazonfinds #apple

If you’ve ever seen the “This accessory is not supported” notification on your iPhone, MacBook, or iPad, it’s because you need to stop buying cheap charging cables bc they’re missing something very important.

It’s called an MFi-certification, which means Apple themselves have confirmed that a non-Apple product meets their own standards

But more importantly, MFI cables have a special voltage regulation chip that ensures the cable doesn’t draw too much power. Cables without it don’t have that chip, and that’s how they can up end up frying your device.

And Apple’s own cables are pretty overpriced and flimsy for what you pay

So instead, get one of these. These cables cost less, are MFi-certified, more durable, twice as long, have no unnecessary plastic packaging, come with a free organizing loop, and have a TRUE lifetime warranty. It’s the last charging cable you’ll ever have to buy, it’s linked below, and you’ll never have to see this notification ever again.

  15. That us utter bullshit.
The power draw is regulated by the phone.
The cable has a chip inside telling your phone "jo I am apple certified" and that is all.
The cable itself will never determine the maximum amount of power drawn by the phone. Otherwise you would need a specific cable for each and every phone

All you are doing is reinforcing apples anti consumer marketing and lies. And you should be ashamed and educate yourself

A nice way of saying apple designed their phones to blow up….usually electronics have the voltage regulation in the devices themselves not in a cable. But then again there is a sucker born every minute.

  27. Shouldn’t wattage be regulated from your device not the cable..? What a shill 😂

I have a story about non-MFI Certified Lightning cables. I had bought a $15 pair of knockoff AirPods 3 to use until I either replaced or found my stolen AirPods Pro 1 (I found them, later on I gave them to someone bc I got new ones) and it came with a cheap Lightning to USB A cable and I never used it bc I had my 18W Apple USB C adapter and just used that with the headphones and my iPhone. One day I needed to charge my case and I couldn’t find my OEM charger so I used the included cable and the case almost caught on fire. If you buy cheap fake AirPods don’t use the included charger.

"Without that chip, it could end up frying your device". I am not an apple user so someone explain to me. Besides the "not supported be apple" thing. Shouldn’t there be voltage protection in the phone and not the cable.
