I’m guessing it wasn’t another case, it was the the rim to put on your I phone to put the invisible glass on. Only because I had one in mine but spectrum people put it on for me. I also called them and said what is this rubber case it has no cut out for volume control, and control button. They said u only use it for the invisible glass, once u do this keep it in case u need to replace the glass
