Ow this hurts
I love it when ignorant and uneducated people make these kinds of videos and have no idea what anything is or does and why… but you made this cOnTeNt anyway.
Eye dee eye oh tee
Its not glass under that protector, its hard plastic. And it gets easily scratched by any metal aswell, so keep it on and get a glass protector over both.
It’s also plastic bro
You said that the old one scratched easily as if this one doesn’t. That’s one of the many things people are complaining about, that this screen protector scratches so easily for something so over priced, my phones 20$ screen protector doesn’t scratch as easily as the switch 2.
Depending on the user
It’s not a screen protector
Makes the warranty void if you remove it 😂
i wonder how you push the B button… without touching the right analog?
So I’m confused so I put a screen protector on top of it or leave it I do not want it to be scratched up
I got it off.. And now it’s perfect ..
I want get one and here you are breaking it
If it shouldn’t be removed, its not really a protector. Its simply the screen
This is a clip taken from the full-length video. Click the @Phonerepairguru in the title and find the full video there!
This is not part of the screen as someone is saying. It is only a layer. But be careful after removing it as the display under the plastic has no oleophobic coating. That means everything will stick to it like crazy.
If you decide to do this because of scratches; When you pull off the plastic apply a new screen protector right away. Do not use anti-dust stickers with strong glue or anything as the glue will stick to the display (takes forever to get spotless again). Better to do it in a slightly humid room to avoid dust and just be quick. It is a magnet to fingerprints as well, do not touch it if you can avoid it.
so we take then screen protector off because?….
I wouldn’t take it off
Why was i expecting the LCD display to come off with it😭
So are most people putting a screen protector over a screen protector?? Now I’m wonderingI away from image clarity
I left mine on and then put another glass screen protector on top of it
Obviously. Wtf lol
Unfortunately the plastic layer does scratch really easy. Despite babying mine until my screen protectors arrive mine has a few light scratches. I believe a screen protector will fill in those scratches though so if you scratched it a protector should at least hide it.
It still scratches very easily too, so I’d recommend getting a glass screen protector to put ontop of it.
Unauthorized modifications
Your switch 2 will be bricked
Yeah. You’re stupid. Congratulations
So if you’re stock screen gets scratched you can probably remove this and put on immediately a new tempered glass one. Good move Nintendo. Although I just put one on top of the factory protective layer
Congrats you’re dumb
Nintendo has now bricked your console
Nintendo: we shall protect the screen
GameStop: hold my stapler
Oh God hes gonna get sued into oblivion
Then you shouldn’t have taken it off dummy……
But @jerryrigeverything mentioned the screen is made of plastic tho.
Thx for the video. I have scratches on the plastic (hopefully only the plastic) already and know I now that I can remove this Folie and put some new one 🎉. Thx
break it so we can see
Mom: let your friend use your switch
Me: Hell naw
Mom: Why?
The friend:
Well, it didn’t stop a staple from GameStop.
So is it fine to take off the factory but add in a new one in case of bad scratching?
dumbass
Glass? You mean plastic?
Mines came with a small dent in the plastic . I’m thinking about removing the plastic
I can already see these being removed in months/years down the line. The reason being is the shitty plastic protector Nintendo applies scratches as soon as you look at it. Mines been as in the dock 90% of the time since launch day and it’s got two small vertical micro scratches on the right side. Nintendo really screwed the pooch with this and should have applied a tempered glass protector and not a shitty plastic one.
So remove or not?
Remove it and put a tempered glass protector 🤷🏽
Bills must be high this month
They really did give the disadvantages of both sure plastic scratches and glass shatters but now if you drop it you get the cracks and if you have it outside of a caring case in your backpack or something it’s going to be scratched
Looking at Jerry rig it seams that is plastic as well behind it 😂
im surprised removing the screen protector didnt brick your console
So expensive but cant include a measly tempered glass protector, or even just a thicker plastic screen protector😅
Imagine if they would brick ur switch if you took that plastic screen protector off 💀
If only there was a glass that doesnt shatter into a milion pieces and fly everywhere when you break it, while giving better scratch and drop resistatnce….
