Lidar is way more advanced. It’s a whole depth mapping sensor that can be used to make 3d models.
On the ultra line it’s just a basic focusing aid.

The flaw of LiDar that I caught is when I was trying to capture a photo while sitting behind the window, it was hard to get the focus on the object. The solution for me was closing the LiDar sensor with my finger.

My XR has super little Lidar
LiDar is a whole 3D scanner. It shoots over 30,000 lasers for room mapping, autofocus, measurement etc.
ToF is just used for autofocus on android. ToF can’t be used to scan 3D objects.

lidar is far more advanced than the tof,.. while the laser inside tof sensor in android only measure in straigth line, the Lidar scan the surface in 3D, laser distribution to multi-angle….
