Amazon Power Bank Companies Are Lying To You…..
I opened up a fake apple MagSafe battery pack only to find out that the capacity advertised was not the actual capacity of the battery pack. That got me wondering, who else is lying about their capacity. In this video, we find out the answer to that question.

Well i found that iniu bi-b5 on finnish flea market for about 5€ couple years back and it worked greatly i recently bough new one because the iniu’s connectors started to wear but it was a great power bank
Sure would be great if you actually concluded with a list on the screen of which ones were not good, and which ones were good, because at the end you just say these four are good but you can’t see the names and you don’t say the names and I have no idea where the links are on your page. Not user friendly video 👎🏽
To measure them by charging dischaging (if you have the time) buy a device called a usb meter or usb doctor. Plug it in the power bank then plug a phone in the device. Some can measure the mah that passes through
INiu (pronounced Eeneuu), makes very good and high quality power banks and phone accessories. I’ve been using their stuff for some time and it is honestly quite good.
A 8×18650 power bank case can be bought for ~€5 and 8 decent 3400 mAh 18650s for ~€20. It amounts to ~90 Wh power bank for ~€25 (actual capacity is around 3000-3100 mAh per cell on average, so 3.7*3000*8/1000 = 88.8 Wh at 24000 mAh). Any power bank that promises more for less is a fraudulent scam. Any power bank that actually delivers ~20 Ah but costs more is a marketing scam.

Why do so many people get symbols wrong? Volts is ‘V’, amps is ‘A’, watts is ‘W’ – all upper-case.
Just save your money and get anker is what i say
bro i bought one power bank and i found mud and metal plate and the battery inside is 2000mah
When did the method for expressing mAh include "at 1V"? If you buy an 18650 and it says, "800mAh" I assume they meant at the rated voltage of 3.7V. This reminds me of the old audio speaker/amp scam (which is still going on after 50 years) of displaying "peak" or "rms" Wattage of thousands of Watts from a 4W speaker. It’s too bad there are no "consumer protections" in the USA. I would go so far as to say that if you see any number on any product, it is a lie. Why would you think every powerbank manufacturer is a liar and yet every battery manufacturer tells the truth? And we haven’t even talked about the usable capacity, as they would never let you deplete a battery. Amazon is, of course, a criminal enterprise with no interest in the truth.
10000 MA / 3.7 v
It’s less than
10000 MA / 5v
And every phone is 5v
Good intent for the video but for people who who cant afford a power back and really wish to it would have been much better if you were able to disassemble them safely/neatly and then given them away to your subscribers like me 🙂
Hey Guys! A lot of criticism on this video about how I came to the conclusion that some battery packs were lying about their capacity. Let me explain why I did this the way I did. The reason I did not charge and discharge these batteries was to save time ( I am running a full-scale repair business as well as creating these videos). While there is a slight chance the writing on the batteries was fabricated the likelihood of that is not high. Batteries in battery packs are often sourced from different manufacturers than those who create the battery packs, which is why the stamping on the batteries were different from the advertised mAh of the packs that we’re being dishonest. The point of this video was to raise awareness of this issue and ensure any individual buying a battery pack from Amazon, Ali express or any similar website thinks twice before purchasing a battery pack with absurd advertised capacities. If anyone would like to charge and discharge the batteries I have taken a look at in this video, feel free to tag me and I will repost the video. P.S – my team and I use two of these battery packs currently and are planning to make one large battery pack with the leftover batteries ( Aside from the pierced one ). Hope this clears up any confusion, once again thank you guys so much for the support and I hope you guys are having a wonderful day 🙂
I do appreciate the time and effort put into doing the research, but if you’re going to go through all this at least make it simple and easy for people to know which ones are good or not.
Sure would be great if you actually concluded with a list on the screen of which ones were not good, and which ones were good, because at the end you just say these four are good but you can’t see the names and you don’t say the names and I have no idea where the links are on your page. I always only trust companies I know for high quality products. Maybe that’s bad because I can’t really buy off brand stuff when it comes to tech with a good feeling in mind. Like if I needed a powerbank, I would definitely go either with anker, or with samsung.
you should consider the voltage also so if we do The math most Phones takes 5 V and in these power banks they are rated as 3.7 V let’s take for example 10,000mAH if we multiply it by 3.7V divided by 5V That Would give us
7400mAH Which is the actual capacity
I have plenty of legit power banks from name brands and one of them is a 26800 mAh j5 Create power bank. After a day of continuous use, it still illuminated 3 out of 4 lights on the power indicator. I use it to power a smartphone. If the claims are honest, it should take me about 2.5 to 3 days to deplete a high capacity power bank with continuous use.
Didn’t know I choose a automatic water gun instead a power bank
Good job on the video , we need to find a rasberry pi or make a pc program that can test these , but that may only test the ones with 2 way ports . A drainage device like ones used on 12V vehicle battery testers with Shunt to test volts and amps/ capacity? Just split second spitballing here .
Wow, great video!! And thank you for actually showing us the difference! I’ve already put INIU on my list of reliable purchases. Sure, discharging and charging would give a more accurate reading. However, time is money and you have a life so, your efforts are greatly appreciated!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This dude needs a lots of subcriners subcribe for thank u.
Made in China,bet!
Can open Hama supreme 24h? Please repair guru 😢
3:29 thanks for telling me this I have a true battery pack
"Im gonna try not to break it" proceeds to beat with hammer
lets gooooo easy button !!
Anyone happen to know how many days Iniu Bi-B62 will last charging a phone?
You should do a follow-up video and look into power banks 100000 mAh and above. Some are very cheap, e.g. less than $US 10. Bargain!
Phew! I just saw this video on my feed and recently got the iniu one. Itd actually great!
This is all originating from aliebaba and aliexpress, thats where the BS marketing on MAH capacity starts, every reseller/dropshipper basically uses their advertising images.
This is why i only use anker battery packs they are the most trusted

What a pity you didn’t just buy an external capacity tester. Would even have saved money in the end…
Brother I am looking to buy Amazon basics 27000 mah 65 watt power bank for my laptop charging would it support my laptop and also I am thinking as my laptop is old the internal battery has been cooked so instead of buying a heavy cost replacement battery so I am thinking to use an external laptop battery as an primary sourcel
I could never break a new power bank like that 😢. But a lesson learnt anyway. Never to go for a power bank with ridiculous amounts of power.
battery will lie as well 😀 the only way to determine the actual capacity is testing and measuring
Please do more of this! Amazon now has power banks that claim to be 50000 mah and UP. it’s even more so with eBay power banks. 100000 mah & up. We need the truth exposed on this bastards
Can you do a give away for powerbanks?
I am from the uk.
You can also buy some modular power banks that you can place your own battery in there.Only 18650 batteries can fit in there
The Inui battery Pack IS however being dishonest (and they all do it). Most ppl will believe that the 10,000mAH applies to the 5V they are using not the native 3.7V of the internals.
thank goodness I bought a Inui a month ago so far its nice
2:36 I can definitely back INIU as i have been using it for almost 2 years and it can last for 3 days on one charge. 👍
Nice work, thank you for doing this for us, subbed.
4:00 thats lit the power bank im using to charge this phone😭
Battery printing is easier, why you do not doubt the battery printing ?
Bhai megabar power bank 22.5 watt fast charging unboxing please 🥺
In 6:39 who thinks INIU is sponsored
LOL I am SHOCKED that YOU are SHOCKED. You don’t really know, we ALL KNOW THIS? Wow.
