    Some usb outlets in public can upload malware on your phone so using a data blocked cable for public usb is smart.

  3. Nope, the phone will draw only what it needs, definitely still be wary of cheap cables but they’re just at dangerous now as they were with lightning.

    Make sure you don’t buy the latest and most technilogically advanced USB-C cord either. Apple’s didn’t make it’s phone’s compatible with the latest and best in the USB-C market.

    Public Chargers can be malicious malware but if you’re using the cable charge your phone it is only limited by how much Apple wants limited to most charges will charge phones up to 15 W normally 35 W only time you really need specialized cables is over 60 w

  6. Or, Apple adds proper voltage control circuits to their devices to keep them safe, now that overpricing their ridiculous proprietary cable solution will not work anymore
