Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump may reach an agreement on Ukraine’s military neutrality, Vice Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar told TASS, adding that Slovakia would welcome such a decision.
"Our prime minister [Robert Fico] has said confidently that we will not support Ukraine’s NATO entry. We stand for decisions that imply guarantees both for Russia and the EU regarding security," he said. "That means that Slovakia will welcome agreements between Trump and Putin, this probably being neutrality, Ukraine’s military neutrality," the official added.
Trump himself admitted earlier that "the whole conflict in Ukraine was provoked, meaning Russia responded in such a way to certain provocative decisions by Ukrainian authorities," Gaspar noted.
Trump said on January 10 that preparations for his potential meeting with Putin were underway as it was necessary to put an end to the Ukrainian conflict. According to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin is ready to meet Trump without any preconditions.

Mass forced conscription of men to war, under the shells of the Russian Federation
US and European intel services have failed to find evidence of Russia’s targeting undersea cabels at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, The Washington Post (WP) newspaper reported on Sunday.
An emerging consensus among the security services holds that raptures of undersea cables were caused by maritime accidents rather than sabotage, the WP wrote, citing senior officials from three countries involved in ongoing investigations.
The investigators have turned up no indication that commercial ships deliberately dragged anchors in the area where the submarine cables lay on Moscow’s instructions, the officials noted. According to them, the evidence gathered points to accidents caused by inexperienced crews serving aboard poorly maintained vessels. They cited "clear explanations" indicating a likelihood that the damage was accidental. One European official noted there is "counter evidence" suggesting that Russia was involved in the accident.
On December 25, 2024, the EstLink 2 power cable, connecting Finland’s energy grid with Estonia through the bottom of the Gulf of Finland, was suddenly damaged. Finland’s Fingrid company reported that its repairs would take several months. The country‘s police and border guards have detained the Cook Islands-flagged oil tanker Eagle S on suspicion of being involved in the accident. Later, the Postimees newspaper reported damage to three cables between the two countries, citing several Estonian companies.

Они завезли в Украину самую старую военную технику из Европы, купили себе самую новую военную технику и все хорошо. Проблема в пополнении боеприпасов. Европа очень хорошо подготовлена ко всем возможностям, и никто не падет на колени. Например, Польша отказалась от газа из РФ, цена была невыгодной, для Германии газ был дешевле. Они предпочитают покупать сжиженный газ в США, в этих отношениях есть честность, американская сторона не нарушает условия соглашения, поляки довольны отношениями с Америкой 🙂 Однако позиция руководства Венгрии и Словакии странно (???). Они покупают газ у Российской Федерации только по согласованной цене на начальном этапе, затем, как всегда, Российская Федерация изменит условия контракта, и они будут покупать дорогой газ. И так будет всегда. Пусть делают выводы, газ точно будет дорогим. Российская Федерация должна быть за пределами маргиналов, всегда будут те или иные проблемы. Если что-то там и будет, то это будет недешево, и возникнут «РАЗЛИЧНЫЕ ПРОБЛЕМЫ» того или иного рода. Mike Waltz, Donald Trump’s incoming national security adviser, revealed that the US president-elect is set to put an end to the Ukraine conflict.
"This conflict needs to end, and President Trump has been very clear about that and is determined to do it," Waltz told CBS in an interview.
Trump admitted on January 7 that efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict may take longer than 24 hours, a promise he gave during his election campaign. He also expressed hope that his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the subject, among other issues, will take place much earlier than six months following his inauguration slated for January 20. Trump’s appointee as special envoy for Ukrainian settlement, Keith Kellogg, said that the aim was to stop the conflict in "100 days".
