If anyone is confused after watching this video then remember one thing that the specifications matter when you buy a laptop for coding or any other task like video editing.

    1) Coders should buy a laptop with 14 inch screen or more but less than 17 inch.

    2) get a laptop with processor which ends with the letter ‘H’ (processors come with different processors that ends with letters like ‘u’ , ‘p’ , ‘h’ , ‘hs’ and ‘hx’). These letters describe the power of that processor and ‘H’ can help you do most of the things and is the most suitable for students.

    3) get a i5 (only if you have limited budget i.e 45 – 55k). If you have proper budget that you can spend like 50 – 75k then get i7 with a ‘H’ processor.

    4) your laptop body doesn’t matter usually but it is recommended to get a metal body just because of sturdiness and build quality (increases portability). This is also preferred in case of students because students drop their things the most so the metal build can give a better safety to your device.

    5) If you are buying a laptop keep one things in mind that you have to check the processor’s generation. If you are purchasing it in 2025 then try to get either 13th gen or 14th gen processor for future proofing. I would recommend you to get 13th gen processor because it’s value for money and can perform all your task like butter on bread.

    5) avoid buying a laptop that comes with hdd (it’s a old technology which should be leftout) and get a laptop with ssd. Ssd are also generation based and so get a laptop with minimum 512gb ssd (gen.4) .

    6) ram should be minimum 16gb in 2025 (because ik students don’t buy a laptop just for studying and would also want to do other things on it like gaming and video editing). Ram is your laptop’s memory just like your phone and thus you would also want to get one that makes your laptop work smooth. It is also important in other tasks which I mentioned already like gaming and video editing (16gb ram is idle for 1080p video editing).

    7) laptop ram is divided by it’s generations (old and new ram technology). So, get laptop with ddr5 ram (5th generation ram) to make it future proof. A newer generation ram will give you better read and write speeds which is important in a laptop.
If you are getting more newer generation ram like ddr5x or ddr6 then its always appreciated but ddr6 would always be out of your budget since it’s not available in budget friendly laptops and only expensive once dollar 💰.
    8) don’t get macbook air or pro if you are a student with limited budget since you could get it but you won’t be able to maintain it in the long run since if issue (technical fault), you spilled something on it then you may not be able to get it repaired from apple service center even if you have warranty and will be expensive.

This should help you. God bless ❤

  38. Rather get a thick gaming laptop because this laptop doesn’t even have graphics card and if you work on 3D rendering you literally need graphics card integrated graphics won’t even launch the app and at least needs to have 16 GB RAM for high work like student work and multitasking having multiple Windows opened

  39. And another important feature is that, the hinge fails easily and forces you to upgrade your laptop which indirectly motivates you to study more since you got a new laptop. Sigh.
