I had one for a year it was fantastic. My neighbor told me to turn my music down once, so i just gave her this speaker , and then got a charge 5 by JBL. For 50$ new and 40$ on the used market this speaker is awesome and packs some great sound for its size. If your car speakers are blown out, you can throw this inside a cup holder and it will definitely be loud enough for the car. This is exactly what i do with the JBL charge 5. Its a lot bigger, more powerful, and comes with a built in power bank so i can charge my phone and play music if i park and turn my car off.

I have a go 3. I lost it for about 2 weeks. Turns out it was under the hood on the cowl of my wife’s mini cooper. Hit the power button and it fired right up and then proceeded to use it for 3-4 hours. Survived 2 car washes and 2 rains, with nighttime temperatures down to 35F and heat generated under the hood of a car. Yeah they’re pretty durable.

jbl party box 1000 is totally a good competitor, quite compact too
