The glossy display on these is awesome wish monitors had it instead of the matte crap. looks very crisp
Since when home/end become "legacy" keys? I need those keys, and I need function keys at the same time. I wish MS had just added an additional column on the right for those keys like most of the 75% mechanical keyboards.
Does anybody actually use the skip forward and skip back keys instead of just using arrow keys or shortcuts like J and L? Also I love Home, End, and PgUp and PgDn! Great review otherwise, just wondering if I’m in the minority on that point.
Also… you didn’t mention this, but they are repairable. Microsoft included qr codes inside. It’s extremely easy to open and swap the battery. It’s also easy to order a replacement.

I hate how everyone is saying copilot is not that useful as someone who works heavily on powerpoint and excel it has serious made life much easier no more need to memorize crazy excel formulas its really useful when it comes to data analysis
How are home, and end buttons dated? They are a godsend for fast typing , productivity and quick movement throughout the text file,
I wanted the Intel version! I don’t care about long battery life! Carry a power cord with you!
I agree with your comments on the touchscreen capability. It seems a bit awkward to use on a laptop, especially if you were to use a pen. I’ve decided that I want a 2-in-1 but I’m concerned about compatibility on ARM so it looks like the Surface devices are not for me.

Brought it at released date fell in love but my first one had problems blue flickering screen/laggy but battery life is excellent all which I have videos on this channel on shorts side documenting. Microsoft replaced it it’s been great so far

Can you check, I found a bug with this laptop, when you charge or connected through the type C, the track pad goes weird/does not operate probably.

I don’t use Google Chrome for years. Microsoft Edge browser is totally the same. I really need Home, End, Page Down and Page Up buttons on Windows.
Edge > Chrome. Chrome is a resource hog, and still manages to run slower than Edge. Why does anyone still use Chrome?
agree on touchscreen. I have thinkpad with touchscreen. the reason why i’m using the touchscreen is because i can flip the screen 360 degrees, mostly i’m using it for multimedia. i dont understand why it has touchscreen when you can’t flip it 360.

I have only issues with my Macbook M3 is outlook email and all microsoft office …! Like minimising windows, email draft is open and when you click the outlook icon on task bar nothing happens… this thing is making me to sell it and magic mouse is so irritating it never moves the way you want it like the icon of closing windows are too small and clicking on it makes to tough that your hand gets stuck exhausted…. I mean may be i am new or don’t know things…. I am just stuck as i am heavy user of oulook emails and excel word ….
Reviewers always call the Macbook Air the best-selling laptop in the world. Where one earth did this stat come from? What is the evidence of this being true when Mac OS still has only 14% global market share as of Jan 2025?

Not bothering to fix Windows in 20 years is a big turn off for me. Also priced similarly to the MBA I’m not converted.
Just got one as a work laptop…this is impressive. Microsoft has a chance to do something very good here

Home, End, PgUp, and PgDn are used extensively in Excel. So, way more useful than whatever you said would be better. I love my Surface Laptop 7 plus and wouldn’t trade it for any other pc. Certainly not a mac.

Once the laptop has thunderbolt 5 or oculink (native egpu support) then I will definitely consider buying it.
The only problem is that Teams is crashing the camera driver every time you start a video call. So the webcam is unusable. What a fail!
You’re Compleatly Delusional if you think any windows can go HEAD to HEAD with any Comparable Mac with the M series chip set.
