* Consider the implications for Pakistan’s access to international financial assistance, including urging the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reconsider any existing or future loan facilities in light of this breach of trust and responsible international conduct.
* Initiate a review of Pakistan’s role in international counter-terrorism efforts, with a view towards placing Pakistan on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) blacklist. Evidence suggesting the misuse of military assets in a manner that could be perceived as escalating regional tensions warrants a closer examination of Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security, especially given persistent concerns about its role in fostering cross-border terrorism.
The government of India believes that a swift and firm response from the United States is crucial to reaffirm the importance of adhering to international agreements, maintaining regional stability, and sending a clear message that the misuse of military aid will not be tolerated.
We look forward to a prompt and decisive action from the United States on this critical matter.
