Hi, I know you’re not an architect, but what I’ve noticed is that you’re all talking about the super screen of the Samsung Note Galaxy Tab, and the good thing is that it’s for viewing content and drawing, but I want to see more than that. I want to see how an architect makes plans on the Galaxy. I want to see how, through architectural plans, a person makes a kitchen with furniture and converts it to 3D. I’m a big Samsung fan, but unfortunately all these tutorials are on an iPad and I don’t want to see that on an iPad. I want to see it on a Galaxy Tab. I hope my comment doesn’t offend you, it’s simply what I want to see as a consumer of content and that I can apply it to my tablet.

  6. It all depends on what I really need that device for. I think this 14 inch Samsung tab S9, along with a keyboard and the Dex thing can, for many who are not computer power users, replace a laptop. It’s lighter, has better battery life, they can multitask with it, and it almost costs the same.

A part of my job for example requires me to read emails, and review documents using Microsoft office, and often Google docs, and attend online meetings where I really need a good front facing camera… I don’t do as much engineering work as before, I’ve been using Android forever… So, in my use case, this is a viable option… But I still like my old shabby 15 inch Dell.

If you have to ask if it’s an iPad killer, then it’s not. If you still compare it to an iPad, it’s not killing it. When Apple introduced their M processors into the iPads, they left their current competition of the Samsung tablets so far behind that they were just incomparable. Like comparing a modern day race car to a racing horse. Next year you’ll still be asking if the tab S10 ultra can kill the iPad. The processors may have gained some ground, but they are always gonna be following Apple.

One question is about the Android version, do tablets get older in versions? Or it can be updated to newer versions? My fear is that paying such money in a tablet then after two or three years it stops many apps due to old version of Android. Any help regarding this issue?

I have been using the Tab S9+ since I got it in the summer. I love this tablet. I do predominantly for emulation and consuming video content. About a month ago my Pixel 7 Pro had got stolen. I ended up getting the S24 Ultra because it would’ve been a wait on for the Pixel 9, and I already have a Samsung tablet. OneUI is great, and I argue the Samsung ecosystem is just as grippy as the Apple one.

I would love to buy one but I’m scared to buy one and two years after and the tablet from Samsung isn’t receiving updates or feeling old and so on…
I have the first M1 with the first MacBook Air and it feels powerful as hell for everything I do… using this situation as example not to compare MacOS with android but why Apple works better with their ecosystem and keep their HW updated for longer periods…

Guys. Galaxy tab s9 ultra vs s10 ultra, snapdragon vs dimencity. Which one should I buy? I’m not a power user. I don’t really play games. Is snapdragon more reliable for a long time because it’s already passed its test?
    S9 ultra 5125G has the same price as s10 ultra 256wifi .

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra? Please, don’t kid yourself. An iPad 1st generation is literally a million times better than that overhyped disaster. It’s as if you’re trading quality for cheap gimmicks, thinking that throwing in a "DeX mode" or a massive screen will somehow make up for the endless issues that plague this wannabe tablet. The Tab S9 Ultra is nothing more than a bloated Android mess that makes the iPad 1st generation look like a powerhouse in comparison.

    Let’s tear this apart:

Performance: The Tab S9 Ultra might have Snapdragon horsepower, but it’s still a far cry from what the iPad 1st gen offered. The iPad 1st gen might have had a humble A4 chip, but guess what? It still outperforms the garbage you’re getting with Android tablets today. Android’s inability to optimize hardware for smooth performance makes this a joke. Meanwhile, the original iPad was pushing boundaries with its elegant simplicity. The Tab S9 Ultra is just sluggish and underwhelming in comparison.

Software: The whole Android experience on the S9 Ultra is an afterthought—clunky, unfinished, and built for people who think more customization means better. But it doesn’t. It means chaos and dysfunction. In contrast, the iPad 1st generation ran iOS, the software that set the bar for tablets. No lag, no unnecessary customization, just a clean, fluid experience that still stands the test of time. The Tab S9 Ultra? It’s drowning in useless features, and DeX? Please. It’s not even close to a real desktop experience—it’s a joke that doesn’t work half the time.

Build Quality: Are we seriously talking about build quality here? The iPad 1st gen, which was built like a tank, is leagues ahead of the hollow, plastic-feeling Tab S9 Ultra. Samsung’s attempt to play in the premium space is laughable when you hold it next to the iPad. The Tab is cheap in every sense of the word, and you can feel it the moment you touch it.

App Ecosystem: Let’s not even go there. The Google Play Store is flooded with half-baked apps that are a nightmare to use on a tablet. The iPad 1st generation had optimized apps from the get-go, and Apple’s ecosystem is still unmatched today. The Tab S9 Ultra has apps that barely make use of its larger screen, while the iPad 1st generation set the gold standard for app integration.

So, to anyone still thinking the Tab S9 Ultra could be the iPad killer? Not even close. An iPad 1st generation would obliterate the Tab S9 Ultra in every category that matters. Don’t waste your money on this cheap, slow, laggy Android gimmick. If you want real performance, reliability, and quality, even a first-gen iPad blows this thing out of the water.

    Apple has the M4.

    M chips are so incredible!

    Forget about it.

Apple iPads have great app integration etc.

    Samsung always a distant 2nd.
