Smartwatches are a PREMIUM accessory that can cost hundreds of dollars after you’ve already spent hundreds (or thousands…) on your smartphone. CMF is trying to change that with their new sub-$100 Watch Pro 2. With a pretty decent spec list and a minimal style, will this change the smartwatch accessory market for the better?

  1. Just bought the watch instead of updating my Apple Watch 6.
Was excited, until I started the tracking accuracy. Nothing has been tracked correctly. Sleep is way off, stress is way off, heart rate is way off…..you get the point.

Still a cool cheap watch, but if you are wanting for the tracking, spend the money.

  8. ATTENTION ALLERGIC PEOPLE WITH WATCH PRO 2!!!

Unlike the first model from 2023, this CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2 from 2024 can give you contact allergies. According to Nothing, you already have the charging pins with a nickel finish. The buckle is unknown. In my case, this being in contact with the epidermis of the wrist, I had a rather unpleasant allergic reaction. All this combined with the heat and sweat of the summer. The brand, faced with this problem, gave me a surreal solution. In conclusion, I proceeded to return it. In 2024, the use of components that harm health in a product of this type is out of context.

          Greetings.

It’s an oversized NOTHING with buggy proprietary software, notifications nightmare, random disconnects, fingerprints and scratches collector and all in all – quite an expensive NOTHING Aliexpress scum grade.

  19. The really frustrating thing with smartwatches nowadays is how they charge you $300 for the watch and then hold their hand out for a monthly subscription to get all of the features. Like, GFY Fitbit/Oura/Whoop/etc that want $6-10/mo. I don’t own a smartwatch yet, and if it’s going to come with yet another SaaS, I’m just not going to do it. I lived my entire life without it, it’s not worth it.

The reason why nobody is trying to make a smartwatch at that price point (near 100 bucks) is because that will cannibilize all the premium watch users.

Like other than the basics, you don’t really need anything special in your watch. Except maybe IP rating

  35. what is this hate against USB A? Ich have like 5 chargers with USB A. Should I trow them away because everyone thinks USB C is the new standard? Sometimes the Linus bubble doesn’t know what the consumer thinks and or want. I don’t need 150w to charge my friggin watch!

  39. The watch pro 1 was crap and it sucked. The app was buggy (but was getting better) but due to water seepage, it began to malfunction to a point where its display flickered and dull. The service wasn’t provided as it was water damage. Now i got Huawei watch GT 5 for $202 which costed 3.5x of the cmf watch pro.

  40. I have one main request when it comes to a smartwatch: to be able to disable all RF. The second one is that the watch be able to function independent of a smartphone.

I wanted so much or the CMF Watch Pro 2 to be my everyday watch because of its beautiful aesthetic; it just looks so damn nice on the wrist, and it has really pretty watch faces (with matching always-on faces). But here’s where it fails for me:

    1. You cannot set up the watch without the phone app; you can’t get past the second screen when you turn it on without it’s companion phone app (the first being language selection).
    2. Once the watch is set up, you cannot disable RF/bluetooth. Well, you can, but only using power saving mode, which goes to a default single watch face and no other functions.

I want to disable the radio on this watch for multiple reasons:

    1. for health
    2. to extend the battery
    3. I work with RF sensitive equipment

I would proudly keep it on my wrist if Nothing added an airplane mode, or whatever they want to call it, so that I can turn off the radio but keep the functionality of the watch the same. Most other smart watches have this feature. Also, allow me to setup the watch standalone, without needing a phone, and I’m sold.
