    Sony 4k tvs are a abomination trash.All they do is make my regular blu rays discs into garbage upscale movie picture’s. Compared to my new full HD Samsung smart tv Cause at least that TV matches the native display in my regular blu rays compared to that garbage stony TV.

    I am writing this email as a deeply dissatisfied customer regarding my 65-inch Sony 4K TV (Model: 65X9000H), purchased in mid-2021 for over INR 1.5 Lakh. The display panel of this premium product has failed in 2024, barely 2.5 years after purchase, and I have been informed by your technician that I must pay an additional INR 60,000 for its replacement, with only a one-year warranty on the new panel.

    I find this situation completely unacceptable for a product marketed as “premium.” It is shocking that a TV in this price range and from a reputed brand like Sony would fail twice in such a short span of time. To add to this, I was informed by your team that there is no other option but to bear this significant cost.

    This is not an isolated issue either. In 2017, I faced a similar problem with a 55-inch Sony TV, which also required a costly repair within 2-3 years of purchase. That repair cost over INR 1 Lakh, and I eventually had to replace the TV with a Samsung, which has been functioning flawlessly since then.

    Let me highlight my concerns:
    1. Durability and Reliability: Is Sony implying that its expensive TVs are designed to last only 24-36 months? This raises serious questions about the quality of your products.
    2. Cost of Repairs: INR 60,000 for a replacement panel is unreasonably high, especially when it comes with only a one-year warranty. How can you expect customers to pay such a steep amount for a component that may fail again within a short period?
    3. Customer Trust: As a loyal customer who splits time between Boston and Mumbai, I chose Sony for its brand reputation. However, my experience has been nothing but disappointing.

    Given this situation, I demand:
    1. A complimentary replacement of the display panel as a goodwill gesture to restore my faith in Sony products.
    2. A warranty extension of at least 3 years on the replaced panel to ensure peace of mind.
    3. An explanation regarding the recurring display panel issues in your high-end TVs and what measures Sony is taking to address these concerns.

    As a genuine customer who has invested significant amounts in your products, I believe this request is fair. I urge you to take this matter seriously and provide a resolution at the earliest. Failing to address this issue will leave me with no choice but to escalate it further, including sharing my experience on public platforms and seeking consumer grievance redressal.

    Full hd samsung i own is much better No Upscaling Compare to the garbage Sony TV’s. Cause that’s all the 4K Sony TV would do. Is fuck up my Regular. blu ray movies What did stupid 4K Upscaling

    The Sony TV is a piece of junk compared to my new Samsung TV I bought this year. That supports Full HD Resolution no 4K. Resolution.

    Was there a plastic cover on the screen ? Peeps are saying that they get scratched screens out the box …

    In fact this stopped my getting one the other day. £2700 for a 65" A95L that may have a scratched screen ?

    I’m waiting for the G5.
