Each new model offers new tech and features. I broke my Apple 3rd gen and discovered replacing the glass was more expensive than an upgrade. You mean to tell me your first gen does ECGs or gps cellular functions must be one heck of a prototype

  31. I use old stuff myself, but not ancient i have an i 5 7 gen laptop, s20fe, galaxy watch 4. And if what you described were the basic functionalities of a smart watch than i am pretty sure alot of non apple cheaper watches can do that better. Seriously, smart watches are less smart watch and more a fitness slash health tracker with added capabilities.

There’s actually 10 Apple watches and one thing you can’t do on all Apple watches is fast charging because not all Apple watches are fast charging capable unlike the Apple Watch series 10

Apple Watches are a update when it’s broken device. If it can’t function then its upgrade and honestly unless you on series like 5 or older you should be fine even if it doesn’t get the latest updates for a few years.

I bought the series 10 last year it is the best thing I have bought in the last few years because I also ride my bicycle almost daily to school and I can keep track of my fitness and the only thing I want is apple intelligence on it hopefully in 2026
