also you’re judging PC wrong, it all depends on your shopping skills, you can get a custom built PC as good as a current gen console or close for roughly the same price or a bit more, the value is at how good you are at snipping prices, also the Windows nonsense is fixed by switching to Linux, that PC you put together? absolute skill issue, anyone with a brain can get a PC with an actual dedicated card even at under $300, and at a roughly $500-600 budget you get a near PS5 performance system, also Gamepass is out there for PC too if you decide to go with Windows
$450 is not really expensive, if you take into account the prices of the previous PlayStation consoles adjusted to inflation, it’s like the cheapest or PlayStation ever, even than both of the original $400 and $500 for the original 2020 launch model
the PS1 retailed for $299 in 1995, $618.60 today
the PS2 retailed for $299 in 2000. $547.47 today
the PS3 retailed for $499 for the 20GB model and $599 for the 60GB model, $780.43 and 936.83 today, to this day the most expensive yet, even more than the PS5 Pro
and the PS4 retailed for $399 in 2013, $540.03
and lastly, the OG PS5 retailing for $399 for the digital model and $499 for the physical model, $486.09 and $607.92
so far the PS5 digital and the PS5 slim are the cheapest PlayStations ever, and even the PS5 physical retailed cheaper than a good chunk of previous consoles, shit even the PS5 Pro is still cheaper than both PS3 models, PS3 pricing really was shit, no wonder why they lost most of the generation to Xbox until the very end where they finally pulled ahead

Yes smartphone is incredible I think it’s the most used console in the world right know and forever because everyone have it in the pocket some just play mini games some play blockbuster but everyone play something š¹ . I think that the series s is only the best deal in some country’s due to digital games being WAY MORE expensive here in Denmark where i live. For context, when you search up the danish Ubisoft site, you wouldn’t be able to see it, but they are selling ac mirage at full price. But here is the fact. While i can pay 500 DKK for ac mirage on the website (That for context is around 71 USD), i can buy it physically for 130 DKK (18,43). For me it is necessary to buy it on disk, since im just a teenager and can’t afford to buy it digitally. Anyways I watched the disk vs digital video you made, so i know that it’s like that in the us but i just wanted to let you know. Great vid BTW.

The reason I’ve been considering going for an Xbox (I currently only own a PS4 and PS3) is to go for the huge list of backwards compatible games. I want to be able to go to my local used game shop, find a bunch of older Xbox games that I never got to play (or haven’t played in years), and buy them on disc. So the fact that the Series S has no disc drive is a deal breaker for me. I would want to go for a Series X, but I would probably have to get a used one, since the prices for new still won’t go down.
Switch Lite could also be a good choice for me.
I got my series S for legit $100 to sit next to my gaming pc. Absolute steal.
Honestly the steam deck, you can dock it, play it portable, play the same games on your pc, and you can upgrade to the new one without needing to buy your games again
