  1. 366 nits is dim? Calibrated displays run SDR at 100 nits. This is plenty unless you plan to display a lot of HDR.

  3. Got a yoga pro 9 with i9 13th gen, 64gb ram, 1tb, 3070.
Best option for work so far. Recommend it.
But dont buy with intel cpu, they drain battery like x2 quicker than ryzen. For me that’s not a problem as my setup is used only at home, but still.

I would put the new Samsung – Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 – Copilot+ PC – 16" AMOLED Touch Screen Laptop – Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 on top of most here (when it comes to 16" screen). Battery alone is very impressive (in Macbook pro 16 territory)

  6. hello – thanks for the videos. i would like to get a 2in1 windows ideally, in the $800 – $1400 ish range ideally. however fan noise drives me crazy. i have been using a M1 MBA 8gb/256ssd for a while now. i do love that the MBAs have zero fan noise. considering the 15.6" M3 MBA for $1100 from BestBuy. but, i do like WindowsOS a bit better, and i really would like a 2in1. plus running some games would be nice (just a couple older ones). so i’m kind of torn between the M3 MBA, the HP Spectre, and some Lenovo Yoga options. I’m curious if you (or anyone reading this!) have any advice and in particular what if any windows 2in1 laptops have the least (or zero) fan noise?

  7. As I travel 3-4 weeks a month for work — I find any PC Laptop – I’ve had Dell, HP, Lenovo, and they last about 3 years then I have to replace it. This is due simply to the wear and tear of travel. So while I could afford a $1500 laptop, it just makes sense to me to spend $750 and get a new one every 3 years as no matter what – travel can get rough. I do recommend ONLY get metal chassis laptops as the plastic ones just don’t hold up. My 2 cents. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Lol.. i have M3 macbook and g16 rtx 4090.. rendering video, or anything is similiar if not faster on g16 … Display is better on g16, is also slimer and thiner.. what exactly you find so special on macbook ? Yeah it’s okay device for work, ( if you don’t need windows apps to run) .. but i get the same performance ( and much much better gaming performance ) on G16, with similiar speakers ( best on market in pair with macbook) while having an Oled screen.. as i said, i have both, and i choose g16 and windows every day, any day for work, gaming, watching movies, …… It’s faster, eazier…

  17. Crazy how we look at things in a vacuum. Dell XPS is the best for Windows users focused on the combination of productivity, customer service, build quality, content creation, streaming, light gaming, data analytics, oled screen, luxury, etc. I don’t understand why its slept on, but hey to each is own…

  23. I’ve been a loyal Apple user for years, but recently have been testing out some Window’s laptops. I’ve tried three different brands, and when using my bluetooth headphones there is serious lag and sync issues when watching Youtube, or any of the streaming platforms. Is this a common Windows problem and can it be fixed?

  27. Josh! What makes you differentiate between gaming laptops and professional ones? Wouldn’t a legion pro 9i or even a zephyrus g16 (2024) be really good for design, video editing and 3d work? Or do you think that for those high prices a macbook pro would just be better? (a zephyrus g16 with a 4090 here costs almost 4000โ‚ฌ…). I’m a creative professional. I do graphic design, video editing and like to include some 3d work and well, if I could I’d like to do some gaming on my spare time as well. I’m very confused as where to spend so much money…

  37. Help me! I have been watching too many videos and still don’t have clarity on what I might want to get. I currently have an XPS 15 from 2021 for video editing. It’s been awesome and still performs great. I have had to replace 2 batteries and the trackpad doesn’t really click after anymore after 1 year, even after a new keyboard as well. I don’t like the 2024 iterations of the XPS since they took many ports and FKeys away. What is a comparable windows laptop? I’d like to keep it $2000 or less if possible. (editing 4k video)

No thinkpad mention at all? Just bought on a blackfriday deal a thinkpad E16 with the 1600p screen (ryzen 7, 16gb, 1tb ssd, wifi 6E, aluminium base) after my LG Gram being refunded by warranty. Been loving it, missed the trackpoint from my high school computers, quite useful once you get used to it to quickly move the mouse without removing the hand from the keyboard
