You didn’t clear the static electricity from the protector before you put it on. A piece of dust got pulled up to the upper right corner of the screen. You can see it in the video. Next time clear the plastic of static electricity before you do this

I don’t think there’s an oleophobic coating on the screen underneath the plastic layer, so I wouldn’t recommend doing that. It would be hard to get it perfectly clean for a screen protector. That plastic layer isn’t really affecting clarity anyway
Nice imperfections under the new protector. A phone repair store has no excuse not to be running an air compressor to blow dust before applying protectors and blowing glass and dust out of phones. Every store I’ve worked at had one and it was compulsory to use it.
If you do that you’ll loose the warranty I think.

I work as a repair technician for rugged computers and mobile scanners. There is a particular device of ours that when purchased new, does not come with a pre-applied screen protector, but all of the replacement screens come with one pre-applied. I don’t mean the screen protector used for shipping and pre-customer handling, I mean an actual screen protector. Such a strange choice to me, but in the end if it prevents a device from coming back with a damaged screen, then I am totally ok with it.
