I with you guys. I still rock my AirPods Pro, although, I also really like the Beats Fit Pro and the Studio Buds. Those are great options too

  4. i still used airpods pros even when i had an s21 and galaxy buds pro…

  5. I like the pixel buds 2 since they have that pressure release pass through. The connectivity is pretty shit though and they arent exactly feature rich. No idea if the A versions or the new pros are worth it.

When they launched though, the buds 2 were steaming piles of shit until a few patches came out.

There are obviously better earbuds than others, but I honestly can’t stand wearing any earbuds. Most don’t even fit my ears properly and even the ones that fit better feel uncomfortable. I either go speaker or over the ear headphones

I switched to ios expecting that I’d just get the air pods pro to go with the new phone but outside of anc, they sounded so muffled and cheap that I never bothered “upgrading” from my gen 1 galaxy buds.

  13. honestly cant see how linus can go with the airpod pros over XM4’s. Sony’s noise cancellation is excellent, and they also sound 10x better, which is the reason why i would take them over the air pods, even if noise cancellation isnt quite as good.

  17. Wireless earbuds are way too damn expensive. I sold my Sony Xm3s because they fell out constantly and I will just avoid any phone without a headphone jack at all costs. Wired is cheaper by far and is way easier to find good fit and comfort.

As a partially deaf person, Ankers Soundcore pro with the Hear ID tech are amazing… the ability to adjust sound so I can hear out of both ears is amazing

  19. Glad to hear Linus mention the LG Tone earbuds. They’re as comfortable as the Airpods if not more. ANC might not be quite as strong but they’re also wildly cheaper. The case is tiny and the touch controls are really good and very customizable.

I bought the Galaxy Buds Pro on "Prime" day for $120 they have better sound quality than the airpod pros to me. But the fit and noise cancelling is better on the airpod pro’s for me so it’s a toss up. Waiting for the Galaxy Bud Pro 2’s to come out sometime this month and hoping they are good I will probably return my Bud Pro 1 since they fall out of my ears a little

I’m on KZ S2 that is a cheap-ish chi-fi IEMs, and now that I finally learned that the constant loss of signal while the phone is in my pocket only happens because I love to jam the buds really deep in my ears, I kinda love them. So far the only ones that feel good. Tried regular airpods and dizo gopods D, none of them feel right if the bud isn’t molded as a human ear.
Edit: I might just get an external Bluetooth to 3.5 thing and dump this whole search for fitting buds.

  37. OG linkbuds changed my world. I rocked ATH M50’s as a proper oldfag and wannabe audiophile while denying progress. But those quirky little shits and how Linus and other reputable reviewers reacted to them – tickled my fancy the right way and I just bought them. (I am from a place where $180 is a serious investment) And they absolutely changed my world. I unfortunately get less use out of them than I’d like, but that is none of the linkbuds fault. A little apprehensive "let’s give this hipster tech a try" turned to be an eye (and ear) opener.

  39. I’m currently using the Nothing Ear (1)s. Love the aesthetics of them. Functionality wise they’re decent – not amazing, not bad. Carrying case fits in my jeans’ "headphone pocket" without a bulge. Surprised me, as the square form factor makes it look like it wouldn’t.

  41. I bought the Sony linkbuds. I hate in ear bud bits and I’m useless with paying attention to my surroundings when listening to my full on headphones sure the bone-phones exist but I find they compromise slightly too much on audio quality for me to enjoy my music. The linkbuds solved that problem for me, I can listen to my music happily while being slightly more aware of my surroundings so I don’t end up pancaked by a car.

Thank you short circuit for showcasing these. They are an amazing niche product I didnt know about before 😊

  48. A slightly better alternative for me because i use a z fold 3 is the beats fit pro. It has the same chipset as the airpod pros so they noise canceling and passthrough are up there. Slightly not as good, but barely noticeable. A bit more thump to the music but not as much clarity, but the ease of use with android is worth it. The wingtips are not for me, but they come in handy sometimes. I usually dont fit them in properly because they hurt my ears though. airpod pros were really pissing me off at one point because they refused to connect if i tried to use them mid phone call or something
