  1. Normal phone screens these days are really durable whereas screen protectors can really only last one drop then u have ugly cracks over ur screen so just don’t use a screen protector even tho I drop my phone a lot and it hasn’t broken

Nope not all, some expensive screen protectors are made out of sapphire, cheap ones are often just normal thin glass

I really don’t think that scratch resistance, even matters very much for phones. No, it’s there.Protecting the screen from cracking, when you accidentally bump it against something or drop it outright.

Cheap ones start cracking from the side their oleophobic coating does not last long. . . I am using spigen screen guard still the screen fells smooth to touch

  10. The fact that most companies offer a lifetime warranty on their products is nice and all but you still end up paying regardless of being free. I kinda got this when I was reading my screen protector’s warranty policy.

The $20 Type Gorilla and Lito screen protectors are far beyond the $5 shit. They don’t smudge, stay crystal clear even after a year and generally have a nicer feeling. Some companies even offer warranty for your screen in case it breaks while their screen protector is on it.

Idk, but I won’t cheap out on $20 when my phone is $800-1000.

I think there are installation tools that can make it worth it to not go for the cheapest protectors. If you want a perfect alignment and dust free install. I’d say $40 is too much for that convenience but there are lots of good options sub $20.

my one friend legit got one every month for a year after getting his new phone just cause you can,no questions 😂

  21. What a horrible, HORRIBLE argument. Instead of relying solely on the honesty of the manufacturer of the screen protectors, why don’t you actually test the screen protector to see if it holds up to its own claims? Here’s a hint: the vast majority of don’t.

My thing is, I’ve purchased cheap screen protectors from aliexpress and temu many many times. They just don’t last as long as the more expensive ones and don’t feel the same. My big thing is the oleophobic coating where the cheap ones always get smudges whereas the expensive ones don’t.

Rounded edges, anti-glare, thinnest if you got an onscreen fingerprint reader. I’m not paying 3 bucks for a screen protector, nor am I gonna pay 30 buck. Anything around 10-15 bucks is pretty good and value

  40. Some cheap ones can cause rainbowing or some other weird effect on the screen. And they don’t always go from corner to corner either. They may feel worse too.

Personally, I go for the cheap ones still. Although my next screen protector will go from edge-to-edge. ESR has some that are cheaper than most others at $15 for a three pack

  49. But they aren’t all the same because the $80 Sapphire screen protectors actually do what they’re supposed to do and live up to the 9H not that anybody should spend $80 on a single screen protector because that would just be ridiculous but it’s almost indestructible
